Northern Vermont Ballet Student Company Placement

Thanks to the generosity of Artistic Director Maryellen Vickery and the support of the Northern Vermont community of businesses and individuals, this pre-professional level of training and dance theater is available in our rural area for a surprisingly low cost compared to other Vermont Ballet Programs or similar organizations nation-wide.

By Director invitation, Northern Vermont Ballet’s intense upper-level ballet training and performance opportunity is for the progressed dancer. Dancers need full knowledge of body placement, technique and ballet vocabulary. Classes focus on individual weak areas, moving with grace, port de bras, drills, balance, strength training, and pointe work. Four technique classes and four Pointe/Variations/Alternative classes a week, plus on-call rehearsals, are required for eligibility.
